Zhamak Dehghani founded the concept of Data Mesh in 2018, based on more than 20 years of experience working as a technologist in the industry.

Her other credentials include having contributed to multiple patents in distributed computing communication, and embedded device technologies, as well as having served on multiple tech advisory boards.

Until August 2022, Ms Dehghani worked as Director of Next Tech Incubation NA at Thoughtworks. Since, she has founded a Data Mesh Stealth Startup, at which she serves as CEO. She is the author of the ‘Software Architecture: The Hard Parts’ and ‘Data Mesh: Delivering Data-Driven Value at Scale’ O’Reilly books.
